LOVE OF LIFE
Dear Readers,
February, the month of LOVE… ahhhhhh ! The way my husband, Charlie, and I celebrate Valentine's Day is he takes me out to eat to my favorite restaurant and sends me some pretty roses. I enjoy having this “special” date night… but, we've also made every month of the year special by taking one or two days to have date nights.
I am thankful to have someone that loves me and cares about me and treats me special. I talk and counsel with many people all over the world who do not have a “special” other in their life and are very lonely not only on Valentine's Day but every day of the year.
Even though I'm thankful for my earthly relationships, the most important relationship you or I could ever have is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God will NEVER leave you or forsake you. Jesus tells us in John 15:13, 14; 16, “GREATER LOVE hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. vs. 14 , You are my friends… vs.16 , Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you…” Jesus loves us more than ANYONE ever could and He desires that we be happy and at peace in Him. I place my trust and love in the Lord every day and I serve Him with gladness! I could not imagine my life without God in it; I don't want to! Being a Christian, in my opinion, is the best life a person could have; with the economy the way it is, trials, tribulations, earthquakes, wars or even just every day life at home; placing our faith and hope in Jesus gives us peace. The Lord is always there and wants a relationship with us; all we have to do is talk to Him and build the friendship; the more we communicate with Jesus, the more the love will grow and flourish; just like with our earthly relationships.
Our prayer is if you are lonely and in need of friendship that you will find a lasting love and relationship with our God, the Lord Jesus! He is the ONLY one who will never let you down.
